Go World Ministry to Street Children
The Philippines has a major problem with homeless children who choose to raise themselves and live on the city streets. These children are typically from homes that have difficulties too great for the children to bear. The children find their solace through living by themselves, or with groups of children wherever they can find shelter. There are government social services that try to help these children return to their homes and families, but if the home life pressure is too great for the children, the children return to their homelessness and life on the streets.
It is estimated that there are over 1.5 million homeless street children in the Philippines. Iligan Cityhas an estimated street children population of over one thousand. These precious children do want a bright future. Through our interaction and feeding programs, Go World Christian Fellowship seeks to win these children to Jesus Christ and to show them God’s love and nurture that they deserve.
