Vocational Training College–Cebu City , Cebu, Philippines

The Philippines has a severe lack of domestic jobs for its growing population.  Out of its approximate 95 million population, it is estimated that up to 10 million of its citizens work abroad.  The government of the Philippines has recognized that a new approach of equipping its citizens for international work was needed.  The government instituted a program to partner with Churches to provide needed vocational training in the Church facilities.  The tuition is paid by the Philippine government, thus making the training very affordable for the students.

In association with our sister Church, the Hiyas Celebration of Praise, which is located in Cebu City, Go World Christian Fellowship has partnered to help start and equip a vocational training center, the La Groma Christian Institute.  This facility will teach vocational skills along with a biblical emphasis to an estimated 4000 students per year.  The vocational training will provide courses in computers, welding, refrigeration, baking, cooking, electrical, carpentry, auto mechanics, cosmetology, dress making ,pipe fitter skills, heating ventilation and air conditioning, hotel and restaurant management, and driving courses.  The training center is housed in a 20,000 sf warehouse that serves  both the  local Church  congregation and  the vocational  training center.

Please consider helping through: 1) your prayers 2) your donations of funds to support the Vocational Training College 3) volunteering to serve as an instructor or assistant.
